Editing a Recurring Calendar Event
When editing a Recurring Calendar Event in the Easy Edit Suite, the Details, Content, Metadata, Workflow, Linking and URLs screens are available, as shown in the figure below.

You can use these screens to configure the general settings and content of the Recurring Calendar Event.

In this chapter, we will discuss the Details and Content screens, which are different for a Recurring Calendar Event. For more information on the Metadata, Workflow, Linking and URLs screens, refer to the relevant Screen chapters in this manual.
Details Screen
The Details screen allows you to view and change the current status, name and event date and frequency of the Recurring Calendar Event. Please note that the options on this screen are similar to those on the Details screen of a Recurring Calendar Event in the backend. For more information, refer to the Recurring Calendar Event chapter in the Calendar manual.

Status
This section shows the current Status of the Recurring Calendar Event and allows you to change its Status. The following fields are available:
- Current:
this field displays the current status of the Recurring Calendar Event. For example, in the figure below, the Status of the Recurring Calendar Event is Under Construction.

The Under Construction Status - View Future Status: this button will open the Future Status settings, allowing you to schedule a Future Status change for the Standard Page at a specified date and time. For more information, refer to the Editing a Standard Page chapter in this manual.
- Change: to change the Status of the Recurring Calendar Event, select the appropriate status from the list provided. The options available depend on the current Status of the asset, what permissions you have and whether or not Workflow is applied. For
example, if the asset is currently Under Construction and you have Admin Permission, the available options are Approve and Make Live and Archive. If there is Workflow applied to the asset then the available options are Apply for Approval and Archive.
Tip: You cannot change the Status of an asset if the current Status is Pending Approval, as Workflow is in progress.
- Cascade Status Change: check this box to cascade the Status change to all child assets.
Tip: To cascade the current Status of the asset to its child assets, click Cascade Status Change and click Save. For example, if the asset is Live but the child assets of the asset are Under Construction, to make them all Live, click Cascade Status Change and click Save.

Event Name
This section allows you to change the name of the Recurring Calendar Event. In the Page Name field, enter a name for the Recurring Calendar Event. By default, the name that was entered when the asset was first created will appear in this field.
First Instance of Event
This section allows you to change the start and end dates for the first instance of the Recurring Calendar Event. The following fields are available:
- Start Date: enter the start date and time of the first instance of the event. By default, the Start Date that was entered when this asset was created will appear in this field.
- End Date: enter the end date and time of the first instance of the event. By default, the End Date that was entered when this asset was created will appear in this field.
Event Frequency
This section allows you to select how often the event occurs. The options available are as follows:

Daily: this option will run the event on a daily basis. When this option is selected, additional options will appear, as shown in the figure to the right. These include Every Day, Every x days (e.g. Every 10 days), Every weekday and Every weekend day. The Every weekday option will only be enabled if the start date of the event is during the working week. Similarly, the Every weekend day option will only be enabled if the start date is during the weekend.
The Recurs Daily options -
Weekly: this option will run the event on a weekly basis. When this option is selected, additional options will appear, as shown in the figure to the right. These include Every week on day and Every x weeks on day (e.g. Every 3 weeks on Friday), where day is determined by the start date of the event. For example, in the figure to the right, the event starts on a Friday, so it will be repeated each week on Friday.
The Recurs Monthly options - Monthly: this option will run the event on a monthly basis. When this option is selected, additional options will appear, as shown in the figure below. These include Every Month and Every x months (e.g. Every 3 months). Additional options
allow you to select when to run the event during the month. These options include On the x day of the month, On the x day of the month, On the x last day of the month and On the x last day of the month, where x and day are determined
by the start date of the event.

The Recurs Monthly options - Until further notice: this options allows you to continue running the event without specifying a finishing date.
- Until: this option allows you to specify a finishing date for the event to continue running until. To specify when the event should run until, enter the date in the fields provided.
Thumbnail
This section allows you to assign a thumbnail to the Standard Page. This thumbnail can then be used within the content of your Site.
In the Set Thumbnail field, select an Image or Thumbnail asset to assign as the thumbnail for the Standard Page. For more information, refer to the Editing a Standard Page chapter in this manual.
Content Screen
The Content screen is used to add to and edit the description of the Recurring Calendar Event. Please note that the options on this screen are similar to those on the Details screen of a Recurring Calendar Event in the backend. For more information, refer to the Recurring Calendar Event chapter in the Calendar manual.

Event Description
This section allows you to enter a description for the Recurring Calendar Event. This description can be used on a Calendar Page to display information about the event.
To enter a description for the event, click the
icon - the WYSIWYG Editor will appear, as shown in the figure below.

In the WYSIWYG Editor, enter the description for the Recurring Calendar Event. You are able to use the buttons available in the WYSIWYG Editor tool bar to format the content. Once you have completed the Event Description, click the Save button. Entering a Description is optional when configuring the Recurring Calendar Page.
To view the content of the Recurring Calendar Event within the context of the Site, click the Preview button in the Mode Switcher in the tool bar at the top of the screen. For more information on the Mode Switcher, refer to the Overview of the Easy Edit Suite chapter in this manual.
