Trigger Configurations 

When using the Easy Edit Suite in conjunction with Triggers, it is important to note that some standard trigger setups may create errors or simply not work as intended; certain Trigger Actions will require specific setups. Please see below for the Trigger Action setups required for use in the Easy Edit Suite. For more information on these Trigger Actions and their settings, refer to the Trigger Actions chapter.

  1. Create Image Variety

Create Image Variety

Example: Create an Image Variety when an Image asset is created by the Easy Edit Suite's Asset Creation Wizard.

  1. Create a new Trigger asset. The Details screen of the Trigger will appear within the editing interface.
  2. Enter a Name, Description and Category for the Trigger. Examples of these are shown in the figure below.

  3. In the Events section, select Simple Edit Accessed.
  4. In the Conditions section, select Tree Location in the list provided and click Commit. Additional fields will appear in the Conditions section. Select the desired root node, for example, your Site or a Folder where images are created for your Site. Click Commit.
  5. In the Conditions section, select Asset is of type in the list provided and click Commit. Additional fields will appear in the Conditions section. Select Image from the drop-down menu and click Commit.
  6. In the Conditions section, select URL matches in the list provided and click Commit. Additional fields will appear in the Conditions section. Enter a URL pattern match of file_create=true and select Must be in URL then click Commit.

  7. In the Actions section, select Create Image Variety in the list provided and click Commit. Additional fields will appear in the Actions section..
  8. Enter a name for the variety and specify a constraint dimension. Select Ignore Permissions.

  9. Change the Status of the Trigger to Enabled. 
  10. Click Commit. Now, when using the Easy Edit Suite to create an Image under the selected root node(s), a Variety will also be created underneath it.
