Creating a Feature Page
A Feature Page can be created to stipulate that a specific URL should be displayed at the top of the results of your Funnelback Search Page when Trigger Word terms are present in the search query. For example, you could create a Feature Page so that when a search query is made containing the word about, the About Us page on your site is displayed at the top of the search results.
Example
We want to create a Feature Page on the Funnelback Search Page, so that the search query news will display the Newsletter page of our website at the top of the search results page.
- To create this Feature Page, go to the Feature Pages screen of the Funnelback Manager. In the Choose a collection field, select the Collection you have configured for your search page and click Commit. A blank Feature Page will appear in the Edit feature Page field, as shown in the figure below.

The blank Feature Page - Click on the
icon to configure the Feature Page - the configuration fields for the Feature Page will appear in the Edit Feature Page section, as shown in the figure below.
In the Query Type field, select Substring Match and in the Trigger Word field, enter news. This will mean that our Feature Page will be displayed when the term news is used anywhere within the search query (e.g. newsletter, latest news, newsagent, sinews etc).
The Feature Page settings in the Edit Feature Page sectionIn the Page Title field, enter Newsletters and in the Page Description field, enter a description of the page that will be displayed on the search results.
In the Asset field, select the Newsletters page and click Commit. A list of URLs available for the Newsletters page will be displayed in the URL field. Select the URL to assign to the Feature Page and click Commit. The Newsletters Feature Page will now be listed as Valid in the Edit feature page field, as shown in the figure below.
