Configuring a Related Asset Listing
A Related Asset Listing can be nested on a site to display related assets determined by tagged Thesaurus Terms. This is useful in suggesting pages that users might also be interested in viewing. For more information, refer to the Related Asset Listing chapter in the Asset Listing manual.
Example
To create a Related Asset Listing using assets tagged with Thesaurus Terms:
- Add a Related Asset Listing to your Site.
- On the Details screen, select the Asset Types to List and in the Related Nodes and Root Nodes fields, select your Site.
- Create a Dynamic Parameter with the parameter as Replacement Related node for the listing (must be child of the static related node) and the source as Current Asset, Asset ID, as shown in the figure below.
As the Related Asset Listing finds related pages from the current asset, it needs to be nested within the design of the Site, appearing on each individual page.
The Dynamic Parameter in the Related Asset Listing Details screen - Edit the Parse File of the design being used for the Site, adding a nested content design area to its contents.
- Create a new Customisation and customise the nest_content design area.
- On the Details screen of the Nest Content Design Area, select the Related Asset Listing in the Link section, as shown in the figure below.

The Link section of the Nest Content Design Area's Details screen - Apply the Design Customisation to the Site. The Related Asset Listing will now appear on each page of the Site, as shown in the figure below.
For more information on nesting the content of an asset inside a design, refer to the Design manual.
The Related Asset Listing (with no results) on a Site
Now that the Related Asset Listing is set up and embedded in the Site, the Site’s assets must be tagged with Thesaurus Terms to allow assets with common terms to be recognised as having related content. - Right click on an asset under the Site in the Asset Map and select the Tagging screen.
- In the Tags section, select a Thesaurus Term from either the Asset Map or the Suggested Tags. Please note that Thesaurus Terms won’t appear in the Asset Map unless the Hierarchy Mode settings are either configured or disabled. For more information on the Hierarchy Mode, refer to the Thesaurus chapter in this manual. Suggested Tags must also be configured to be available. To tag more than one term to an asset, click the More… button.
The asset will now have Thesaurus Terms tagged to it, as shown in the figure below.
The Tags section of the Tagging screen - Repeat these steps to tag terms to the remaining assets of the Site. Once this is done, the Related Asset Listing will list assets with the same, tagged terms, as shown in the figure below.
